I love the idea of coffee cake with a little protein boost from greek yogurt. I brought this to our mom’s group this morning to share, and it’s a keeper.
Salsa Roja
We were blessed with neighbors who share. When they brought over some tomatoes from their garden, we made salsa roja. This recipe is so good because roasting brings out so much more flavor. I would say this salsa is very mild. I would add a couple more peppers next time.
Oreo Truffle Pops
I’ve made these in the past and thought they were cute and yummy, but time consuming. I think adding the lollipop stick makes them easier to dip. Bakerella’s post is helpful. I found the little heart in the baking aisle at Walmart.
Easy Biscuit Donuts
My sister in law showed me how to make these donuts when we were all staying at the cabin for the weekend. I’ve also made them when we go camping. Use paper bags to coat them in cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar and clean up is easy!
Lemon Bars
The boys and I love to go for walks through our neighborhood now that the weather is so lovely.

Apple Crisp
Let’s pretend it feels like fall here in Arizona in mid-October. I thought making apple crisp might help, because the weather surely is not!
Peach Crisp
Since it’s the first day of Fall, and I had a bunch of peaches ready to use, I made a peach crisp!
Cucumber Sandwich
Pretty refreshing when it is so darn hot out. My favorite rendition is a sandwich thin or bagel with garden veggie cream cheese topped with thin slices of english cucumber and a sprinkle of dill.
