Ultimate Club Sandwiches for a Crowd

Ultimate Club Sandwiches for a Crowd on a cutting board.

Hey friends!  Coming at you here with a quick and easy recipe for Ultimate Club Sandwiches for a Crowd and it happens to be the first day of school (probably second by the time I hit publish).

My house is super quiet and as clean as it gets – which is pretty clean unless you open a drawer or look under a bed.

I do have one little boy who was bummed to find himself home sick on the first day of school, but things are looking better already so we’re just taking this day super slow together.

So while he’s snoozing the morning away snuggled up next to me, I thought I’d pop in and share this shortcut for making 12 crowd-pleasing sandwiches super quickly!

These might come in handy if you are serving lunch poolside for some friends, or even to take along on a picnic or road trip.

Ultimate Club Sandwiches for a Crowd stacked on a cutting board.

These little guys have turkey, ham, cheddar, bacon, lettuce, and avocado.  I also brushed the sliced rolls with a garlic butter before toasting them until golden brown.

You can definitely swap out the ingredients and toppings to suit your own family’s preference, but watch the video to see how easily these come together!

Description

These Ultimate Club Sandwiches for a crowd come together quickly and everyone loves them, especially with avocado and bacon! Bet they won’t last long.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 12 pack Hawaiian style sweet rolls
  • Good quality deli ham, turkey and cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked
  • Lettuce
  • Avocado slices
  • Mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Add garlic and parsley to melted butter in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Slice rolls in half horizontally, keeping them attached.
  3. Bruch both sides with butter.
  4. Place them on a baking sheet and broil until golden brown and toasty.
  5. Layer ham, turkey, cheese, bacon, lettuce and avocado on the bottom slice of the rolls.
  6. Spread a layer of mayonnaise on the other half of the rolls.
  7. Place the top layer on, and slice into individual rolls. Place a cocktail toothpick in each sandwich to help them stay together while cutting if needed.

Your club sandwiches were a hit! So much so, that upon my return home I had to make a batch after church today for my hubby and me! Thanks again!

Julie first time reading your recipes.
    They look awesome.
But better yet I love how you write. You are very funny.
You should write a book, I’ll be the first to buy it.

I know this is an older post but I really want to make these as they look amazing. Can you tell me about how many pounds of turkey, ham and cheese you used for 12 sandwiches? Thank you in advance for the great recipe.

I would also like to know, because I’m planning a sandwich tray for a baby shower approximately how many pounds of each meat for this amount? Also, if anyone has recommendations for how to have it sliced, other than asking that it not be falling apart?

Just tell the deli you want it sliced thinly but not falling apart. You should have plenty of meat with about 1 1/2 pounds total. Sorry I didn’t list that in the ingredients originally.

How many per person do you typically account for? I have a party of 25 coming up and am planning to make these. They will most likely be people’s dinner, accompanied by salads, chips, fruit, etc.

I’d plan 2-3 sandwiches per person.

Can these be made ahead of time? Kept cold in refrigerator then served next day?
