Skinny Peach Cream Slush

July 21, 2014

Skinny Peach Cream Slush in a glass with two straws and a peach slice, sitting on a cutting board with peaches in the background.

We’ve have really been blending it up around our house this summer.   I am officially addicted to my blender.  I actually asked my husband if he thought it would be okay to bring my Blendtec camping with us.  He looked at my like I was crazy, but I thought it was a great idea!  Smoothies round the campfire anyone?

A whole peach on a cutting board.

I found fresh peaches on sale at the grocery store this week, and I couldn’t help just standing there sniffing them.  Don’t worry, I did actually buy the one’s I sniffed.  I just love the smell of peaches as much as the taste.  This Skinny Peach Cream Slush is a peach lover’s dream.

One of the ingredients in this recipe is a diet lemon lime soda.  I don’t drink soda every day, but I like using one (like Sprite Zero) in some of my blended drinks to keep them a little lighter.  You could also use a sparkling water, with a little honey sweeten it up if you prefer to keep things more on the natural side.

You can use fresh peaches that you slice and freeze, or you can buy frozen peaches, but you definitely need the peaches to be frozen in order to get that “slush” texture.  I didn’t even bother to peel the peaches, which makes things that much easier!

Oh hello there peach!  You are dreamy!

Sounds heavenly except I am not a pop drinker. Wondering what I can substitute? Maybe Almond Milk? hmmmm

Hi there! Yes, you could substitute almond milk. Might make it more like a smoothie than a slush, but still really yummy!

This looks so much better than the peach smoothie I had for breakfast. Love the idea to add some bubbles to lighten it up. And so funny about the sniffing in the grocery store. I cringe when I see people do that and then put the produce back! Glad to know you buy it 😉 Ha ha.

I love “blending it up” too! We have tons of peaches now and will have another case in about a week…the juiciest, sweetest things I’ve ever tasted. This sounds like an awesome way to “mix” things up a bit from fresh peaches and pie. New fan of your blog…beautiful pictures!
